BLOG | Member Spotlight Series: Jerry’s Journey from Real Estate to Swimming Across the Sound
Jeremiah Houlihan, Senior Director of Houlihan-Parnes Realtors LLC, is the Chair of BRI’s Apartment Owners Advisory Council (AOAC).

Jeremiah (Jerry) Houlihan represents the fifth generation of Houlihans in longtime BRI member Houlihan-Parnes Realtors LLC’s real estate business. Jerry has been active in all aspects of commercial real estate for thirty years, with a concentration on asset management and mortgage placement. He has worked closely with all types of lenders such as private equity funds, agencies, Wall Street conduits, commercial banks, and thrifts. Jerry currently manages about 50,000 ft of retail property as well as residential buildings and has leased and managed warehouse and office buildings.
Jerry is also the Vice Chair of the BRI’s Apartment Owners Advisory Council (AOAC), where he is an important voice when it comes to strategy and helping advocate for sufficient rent increases to support repairs, major improvements, and re-investment for owners of rent-stabilized buildings every year during the Westchester Rent Guidelines Board hearings.
Jerry resides in Southbury, CT with his two children, Douglas and Eva. Every year, he swims 16 miles from Port Jefferson, LI to Captain’s Cove, Bridgeport in honor of Cancer survivors and has helped raise over $12,000 for families of Cancer patients in the Connecticut area.
